The Manor Venture returns home to Portland

Manor Renewable Energy – The Manor Venture (built at Manor Marine and delivered 20th April 2017) has recently completed its first contract for Siemens Gamesa, supporting the construction of the Galloper windfarm off England’s east coast.

Based out of Lowestoft in Suffolk, over a 12 month period, the Manor Venture delivered over 450,000ltrs of fuel to the 56 generators; each set having a 3000 Litre bespoke bunded fuel tank (also built at Manor Marine) that were installed on the turbines during the construction phase of the windfarm. Often remaining in the field for up to 5 days at a time, the Manor Venture completed over 5000 personnel transfers without incident and maintained a 99% serviceability record for the MRE generators, during the 355 days worked on the project. The Manor Venture also successfully supported the installation and removal of the generator sets involving numerous crew and equipment transfers outside of its primary work scope.

The generators and tanks are now being serviced, refurbished and tested at the Manor Marine facilities ready for redeployment in July/August 2018.

MRE’s flagship vessel has now undergone a short refit period at Manor Marine to enhance vessel performance. This was completed in less than a week on one of the two slipways available at their yard in Portland, Dorset. The vessel is back in the water and currently available for Charter.
