Manor Marine, an OEG Group Company, has been contracted by Aquatic Towage & Marine, a Weymouth based coastal towage and marine services company, to provide slipway, repair and scheduled maintenance services for the 27-metre single screw tug vessel, ‘Kingston’.
At their shipyard in Portland, Dorset, the experienced team at Manor Marine will be carrying out wash off, painting and scheduled general maintenance works while the vessel is on their dedicated slipway. The shipyard’s two open slipways utilise slip trolleys capable of hauling vessels up to 40 metres in length, 350 tonnes in weight and with a beam of up to 20 metres.
Chris Beals, Project Manager at Manor Marine, said, “As another locally based business, we’re pleased to have been chosen for the scheduled maintenance works on the Kingston and we hope that the successful completion of the contracted works will result in future maintenance of the Aquatic Towage & Marine fleet.”
The maintenance work began in January 2024 and is expected to last for two weeks. Manor Marine’s extensive berthing and shipping facilities, along with their comprehensive range of engineering services, enable the shipyard to undertake all manner of vessel repair, refit and maintenance projects.
