Manor Marine UK Ltd has been awarded a contract by the University of Southampton to undertake the refit of their research vessel ‘RV Callista’.

Work commenced in November 2022 on the dual coded, aluminium research catamaran which was lifted out on Manor Marine’s bespoke vessel hoist. The scope of work will include stern tube replacement, inspection of survey equipment, anti-foul treatment and general vessel maintenance.

Leif Cooper, Managing Director at Manor Marine said, “It’s great to welcome a new customer to our yard in Portland for vessel maintenance and repair. Although we have a busy new build schedule, we are very well resourced to carry out customer maintenance works simultaneously.”

The work is due for completion in early 2023.
