Manor Marine UK Ltd has appointed Leif Cooper as Managing Director, following several years as Operations Director within the company.
During his time at Manor Marine Leif has managed several high-profile projects, including the build of the Manor Endurance and the launch of the Manor Initiative and Manor Enterprise for Manor Renewable Energy; since joining the company Leif has also overseen the improvement of the extensive Manor Marine facilities, the increase in workshop capacity and the growth of both the management and production teams at the Portland site.
“The manufacturing industry faces many new obstacles, especially the workforce as it adapts to restricted operations due to COVID-19 regulations” says Leif Cooper. “I am confident that with the team we have in place at Manor Marine, we are ready to face these new challenges and deliver quality vessels and engineering services safely to our clients.“
Manor Marine is currently undergoing expansion, recently leasing an additional 2000m2 of workshop space within Portland Port which will enable the company to build aluminium crew transfer vessels for the renewables sector. Manor Marine has also invested in the refurbishment of their boat hoist, allowing them to lift vessels up to 100 tonnes as the vessel maintenance, repair capability and services are increased.
