Manor Marine commenced the building of three barges for the Ascension Island Government in January 2018. Each barge with the dimensions of 17m in length, 7m in breadth and a depth of 1.7m were built in our 55m x 52m undercover workshop.

The barges are used to transport goods and equipment to and from anchored vessels. Each barge is equipped with Navigator Unit (Schottel Model 150 rudder propeller) and features 4 lifting eyes for ease of deployment and recovery. On completion of the sea trials at our facilities in Portland, Dorset, and having no accommodation for personnel, the barges were transported onboard a transport ship to the Ascension Islands on the 26th of November 2018.
